美國紐約中央公園一匹載客馬車的白馬倒在路上，看似爬不起來模樣令人擔心，「杜絕馬車」的動保團體再次呼籲馬車載客應該禁止。然而車夫伊曼諾斯(Chris Emanus)解釋，這匹叫做麥斯(Max)的馬「只是跌倒，並非累倒」，獸醫檢查後健康沒有問題，也已經開始載客。

照片中，一輛馬車停在路上，而前頭的馬呈現倒臥的姿勢，而大型動物若是倒下很容易危及生命，因此許多人擔心馬的安危，並呼籲應該禁止「馬車載客」。伊曼諾斯表示，「當下馬兒只是踢到摔倒，並沒有受傷，獸醫檢查過健康狀況後，就讓牠回到工作岡位。」

長年致力於禁止「馬車載客」的「NYCLASS」發言人柯林(John Collins)表示，「這匹馬倒在地上重重地喘氣，牠不只是倒下，一定還發生了什麼，政府應該要確認這樣的事不再發生，也應該要由獨立的獸醫幫這匹馬健康檢查。」

伊曼諾斯說，麥斯在農場待了8個月，最近剛換新的馬蹄鐵，「牠的腳踢到一個凸起處才會跌倒，所有剛換新鞋的馬有時候都會有不太舒服的形況，馬車移走後牠就自己站起來了。」麥斯經過獸醫檢查後沒有大礙，又回到馬車隊進行載客工作。
